There are more than 50 minority cultures within the vast country of China, which are as varied as they are colorful. Leaving the hustle and bustle of a large modern Chinese city is like going back in time, as nearly 70% of the approaching two billion population are farmers, living on less than a dollar a day, tending their beautiful terraced fields by hand with the aid of a strong water buffalo and wooden plow.
